WELCOME INDONESIA
Indonesia is the
largest archipelagic nation in the world, with at least 80,000 kilometers of
coastline. Some estimates run as high as 200,000 kilometers, but even the lower
figure makes Indonesia’s coastline
longer than that of any nation. The territorial waters of Indonesia include 3.1
million square kilometers of tropical seas. The most reliable figure offered
for the number of islands in Indonesia is 17,508 including rocks and sandbanks
exposed by tides. Some 6,000 of these are important enough to have names and
perhaps 1,000 are inhabited.
Indonesia is the
world’s fourth largest country, with 250 million inhabitant. Most are Muslims,
but there are significant Christian and Hindu Minorities. Racially the majority
of Indonesians are Malayo-Polynesian, with Chinese and Papuan minorities. The
capital and largest city is Jakarta.
Indonesia’s cities
are in a constant state of urban evolution, where dense populations, technology
and construction live in hectic symbiosis. But most of the archipelago’s
territory remains unexplored, concealing a wealth of cultures and a myriad of
landscapes. Oceanic rice field and ancient sultanates in java are humbled by
haunting volcanic cones. Maluku’s alabaster beaches and desert islands remain
pristine while the tourist trail heads elsewhere. The jungles of Sumatra,
Kalimantan and Papua are zoological wonders, revealing impish monkeys, stoic
sun bears, leopards, orangutans and remarkable marsupials.
The tropical
islands provide shelter of a diversely rich flora and fauna. Endemic species
which are the pride of Indonesia are orangutans, Javan and Sumatra tigers,
one-homes rhinos, dugongs, anoas, and komodo dragons. And warm tropical water
nurture a rich marine environment of rare tropical fish, coral species and
marine mammals.
Indonesia has
diverse culture and rich destinations. It now offers 14 MICE destinations
around the country; from megapolitan city of Jakarta, the Industry center of
Surabaya, the culture rich Yogyakarta to the world well known destination of

the tourism, transportation, and telecommunication infrastructures and
facilities. In all MICE destinations, meeting and exhibition venue, as well as
accommodation facilities and services, rank as one of the best in the world.

PLACE WHERE DOING BUSSINESS IS A PLEASURE.
